Cascades Casino North Bay Seeks Senior Casino, Restaurant Employees

Gateway Casinos and Entertainment is looking forward to a busy year ahead, as the construction of its North Bay venue is approaching its final phases. As of recently, locals have the chance to learn more about the employment opportunities this new casino complex is about to have up for grabs. Cascades Casino North Bay is one of the casino projects to launch this year.

Bringing a well-rounded casino complex to a given host community is good news for the city coffers, as it means that they are about to experience regular allocations from here on out. The Municipality Sharing Agreement with Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation mandates that all casinos support their host community with a percentage of their gaming revenue.

Casino Launches this Summer

This is positive support that is later on used for various local projects often relating to roadwork that has been postponed for years. Along with that, the casino venue is also striving to support local charitable organizations that are often relying on this for their survival and normal operation. The CA$31.1 million casino complex project in North Bay has been through a lot and it has not even launched operation.

Despite the challenges, this complex managed to find its spot in North Bay and the construction phase commenced. Rob Mitchell, Director of Communications and Public Affair for Gateway Casinos, recently made it clear that the casino operator is looking for people that would be interested in calling Cascades Casino North Bay their place of work. The first phase of this recruitment process is about to cover senior positions.

He pointed out that applications are being accepted online at the moment, and people with previous experience at executive positions are welcome to send their application. This might be their lucky chance to enter the structure of the leading casino operator. Right now, the number of positions open is rather limited. Nevertheless, individuals with both gaming and restaurant experience are welcome.

Construction Still in Progress

Some of the positions currently up for grabs are of Assistant Casino General Manager, Chef de Partie, Restaurant General Manager, Chef, as well as Sous Chef. Wages for these positions range between CA$47,000 to CA$79,000. Projections for the casino venue are to bring up to 300 new job positions to the locals, supporting the local job market with new opportunities. Permanent residents of North Bay are expected to make their way to the job fairs scheduled for this spring.

The CA$31.1-million project is well on its way to see its official launch this summer. Gateway Casinos recently made it clear that the ribbon-cutting ceremony would take place mid-July. Such an opening date positions the casino well, as it would be able to welcome patrons ahead of the busy summer season. The casino floor would see 300 premium slot machines, as well as eight live table games elevating the experience.

The first phase of its construction has already been completed, as the exterior shell of the casino complex has been finished. This would allow construction workers to continue their job in the winter months inside the casino venue. Staff members that have been approved for their positions would also have to go through a six-month training ahead of the official launch.
